As avid antique collectors, we understand the need to keep antiquities in original condition and retain their value, which is why we spent years developing a method to attach our custom designed patented stainless steel stopper to the doorknob without altering the integrity of the original hardware. Many of these knobs are over 100 years old and show the richness of design from the industrial revolution. During this time, hardware evolved into a symbol of wealth, prosperity, and purpose. In America, hardware became an art form and was often referred to as jewelry for the house.
